During the past decade my work has intertwined with seemingly oppositional perspectives as Eastern and Western philosophy, Taoist poetry, art and science, as well as ephemeral and concrete references to places near and far.

In much of my work, examining the interweaving connections between Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay, "XIV. Nature"

", with Taoist's poetries - which

merge one's intellect and soul through their relatio ship with nature's forces large and small.

Their works purport that creativity and identity of the individual and social structure are inescapably rooted in nature's rhythms, and thus sown the seeds for our creative and spiritual existence.

In my practice as an artist, I utilize artistic sources like traditional Chinese paper cut, Jian Zhi, and Song Dynasty scroll paintings, as rudimentary forms upon which I focus my visual inquiry.
